DDA Handrails For Commercial Offices

Haldane UK has manufactured and installed these stunning American White Oak profiled DDA handrails for a major financial institution that was carrying out refurbishment works to a branch in the North of England.

Faced with existing metalwork which featured a wrapped plastic handrail, the client decided to return the staircase to its former glory by reinstating the timber handrail on the metalwork and installing a wall rail to meet the DDA Handrails regulations.

Haldane manufactured the 75mm x 63mm profile from American White Oak and formed the continuous spiral handrail using its 5 axis CNC technology creating a wreathed open cap to provide the perfect finishing touch.

Haldane UK’s Managing Director, Forrester Adam, explained “The investments we have made in our programming and production departments are enabling us to be extremely cost-effective on smaller projects that we knew we struggled to compete on a few years ago.”

He continued, “These investments are now paying dividends and enabling us to increase our presence in new markets such as shopfitting and furniture where we have already made great inroads in the last few months.”
