Haldane UK Achieve CHAS Premier Status
Haldane UK has demonstrated to commitment to setting new standards in the timber handrail sector by becoming the first company to achieve CHAS Premier status and in doing so meeting the standards set under the new Common Assessment Standard (CAS).
Backed by 31 of the largest construction companies in the UK, the Common Assessment Standard aims to reduce the inefficiencies and duplication that are estimated to be costing the construction industry up to £1billion a year.
The CAS asks detailed aspects on key aspects of a company’s status, accreditations and policies, including health and safety, financial, quality, environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility to form a complete profile that can be used for pre-qualification and pre-contract assessments.
With several major contractors adopting the new standards, Haldane has moved quickly to ensure it can continue to work on some of the biggest and most prestigious sites in the UK.
Forrester Adam, Managing Director, “We have had a few customers look at moving towards the new CAS system and so we were keen to stay one step ahead and achieve the new Common Assessment Standard.”
He continued, “We are delighted to have achieved the status and look forward to the improvements in efficiency which it should hopefully bring.”
