Haldane’s expertise in specialist woodturning has been called upon to manufacture a range of components for a prestigious UK hotel for one of the world’s biggest names in the hotel industry.

Haldane has demonstrated its expertise in woodturning with these tapered barley twist table legs for the fit out of a luxury perfumery.
The 700mm legs were manufactured in poplar and tapered from 110mm to 65mm with a stepped barley twist.
Haldane commissioned a custom made cutter to achieve such a deep cut into the timber and completed the design with a hand router.
The complex turnings were then hand sanded to provide the perfect finish that Haldane is renowned for.

Haldane completed a major contract in the South of England which saw the company manufacture and supply a range of products including Mashrabiya screens, shoe racks, radiator covers, decorative corbels and timber panelling.
The contract required Haldane to call upon its full range of services from its 5 axis CNC machining through to moulding, woodturning and hand-carving.
The Mashrabiya screens were constructed from thousands of delicate timber components which were individually turned using Haldane’s traditional woodturning expertise.
The timber panelling inscribed with Arabic writing was produced using Haldane’s market-leading CNC machines which deliver the ultimate in precision in quality, however, the project was not without its challenges.
Each carving required to be individually programmed by Haldane’s team of experienced programmers working from CAD drawings supplied by the project’s design team.
