Haldane’s expertise in custom spiral staircases was called upon to bail out a London joinery contractor who walked off the site when they found themselves out of their depth and couldn’t complete the project.

The joinery contractor had successfully installed the bespoke kitchen and carried out various works in the refurbishment of the luxury London property including the installation of a standard spiral stair in kit form.

However the problems arose when it came to installing the balustrade, handrails and the associated structural implications with the landing edge.

Haldane transformed the project by reinforcing the landing edge to support the metal balustrade and installing the elliptical handrail manufactured from American Black Walnut. The project was completed with decorative apron lining and the apron capping.
