Helical Handrail London

A London housing development which represents the last word in luxury has been fitted with handrails made by Haldane UK Ltd. of Glenrothes.

The 10 homes, which start at a cool £1 million each, occupy a prime site flanked by Wimbledon Golf Course and Wimbledon Common.

The developers, UK Venture Developments (Wimbledon) Ltd., chose Haldane because it was the only sub-contractor which could supply the quality of product and installation they required.

The contract, worth over £60,000, involved the manufacture and installation of an American cherry handrail for the elliptical stairs, which feature elegant concrete treads winding from the first to second floors set off by a graceful balustrading system.

The stunning oval profile handrails provide a superb finishing touch. Said Haldane’s Director Forrester Adam : “The staircase feature is so special that a light well has been incorporated into the roof construction to allow it to be bathed in light and shown off to perfection.
