Sapele Handrails For Ocean Liner

Haldane UK has added to its portfolio of cruise ships with the completion of its latest supply only project for the world’s largest ocean liner.

Haldane was approached by the specialist marine fit out team who were appointed to design an extension to the handrail on the ship’s grand staircase which was originally fitted out in 2004.  

The marine fit out company had designed the perfect solution to ensure the metal, glass and joinery works looked part of the original installation, whilst creating a stunning feature finish which drops dramatically to a horizontal volute.

The profiled handrails were manufactured in Sapele ready to be finished on site by the fit out team.

The nature of the cruise ship market means that the project has to be completed within very tight parameters when the ship is docked and the marine fit out team approached Haldane to manufacture the handrails ready for installation.
