Walnut Handrail For Stairs In London

Haldane UK has manufactured and installed stunning American Black Walnut Handrail for two staircases in a luxury 4 storey town house in London.

The client was refurbishing the property to create three separate apartments and was looking to create a contemporary stylish finish to internal stairs.

Haldane manufactured almost 40 linear metres of the 55x40mm handrail with an ellipse profile together with various ramps, drop ends and goosenecks to ensure a perfectly continuous handrail.

With such a tight hallway as is common in this type of London apartment, Haldane also manufactured both 90 degree and 180 degree raking to raking wreaths to enable the handrail to twist and turn through the change in staircase direction.

90 degree and 180 degree raking to horizontal wreaths were also used to enable the handrail to level off at landings.

Haldane also carried out the French polishing on site to enable the client to achieve the luxurious deep red finish they were looking for.
