HANDRAILS FOR LUXURY APARTMENTS IN EDINBURGH

Haldane UK has completed the contract to supply timber handrails for the new luxury apartments on the site of the iconic Donaldson School for the Deaf in Edinburgh.

 

The project sees the stunning Category A Listed Playfair building being converted into 115 apartments with a further 84 contemporary apartments being built in the surrounding grounds.

 

The new-build apartments have been designed in a crescent shape to the rear of the main building and use the natural shape of the ground to ensure the Gothic facades and the views from the building across the city are maintained.

 

Haldane UK will manufacture and install almost 800 linear metres of handrail with a 60 x 45mm bespoke profile which will be French polished with an American Black Walnut to provide a luxurious finish to complement the high-end design.
