Bespoke Continuous Handrail for Private Residence in Stamford

Haldane UK was delighted to manufacture and supply a beautifully crafted bespoke continuous timber handrail and base rails for a luxury property in Lincolnshire.

This supply-only project showcased our expertise in precision machining, seamless design, and our collaborative approach when it comes to timber handrails.

The client required a 70x45mm Ellipse handrail manufactured in American White Oak and designed to run as continuously from the ground floor to the top landing.

The project saw Haldane manufacture over 43 metres of elliptical handrails together with sweeping bends, wreaths, and a stunning finished end as well as the corresponding base rail components.

With spindle positions already marked on the treads, our team carefully recorded these details during the digital survey

However, the landing spindle positions were left to our discretion—a critical decision, as we were also responsible for drilling the corresponding holes in both the handrail and base rail.

To ensure a flawless installation, our CAD team worked closely with the client, providing 3D digital renders to confirm the design intent and resolve any potential challenges in advance.

In addition to the precision manufacturing, Haldane’s team meticulously carried out the pre-jointing and hand-finishing of each component to allow for easy installation by the client.
