Luxury Loft Ladder From Haldane UK

Haldane UK has manufactured a luxury loft ladder in American White Oak for a loft conversion project in Scotland.

Haldane was approached by the specialist interior designer to develop a solution for a loft conversion where there wasn’t room for a full staircase but the client wanted more than simply a standard loft ladder.

Working to a design brief supplied by the interior designer, Haldane manufactured the loft ladder which measured in at 3.4 metres in height with 500mm treads which were 180mm deep.

The uprights were designed to be more like full stringers and feature hand grips for added safety.

Haldane also manufactured a fixing mechanism to allow the ladder to be pushed tight against the wall whilst not in use.

Haldane UK’s Managing Director, Forrester Adam, said “We are seeing a growing number of enquiries from companies looking for us to replicate timber products which are no longer available whether it’s a restoration project or in the case a product which has ceased production.”
